The Scottish Brand Built for Links Golf

Since 1946, Sunderland of Scotland has been making golf outerwear for the conditions that actually matter. Founded in the year after the Second World War, the brand grew up alongside post-war British golf - on windswept links, in changing rooms that smelled of lanolin and leather, worn by players who knew the difference between a gust and a gale.

Sunderland's reputation was built on one thing: keeping you dry and comfortable when the weather turns, without sacrificing the look of the game. Their waterproofs and windcheaters became the standard kit for tour caddies, club pros and serious amateurs across Britain and Europe. If you were on a links course when the weather changed in the 1970s, 80s or 90s, chances are there was a Sunderland jacket somewhere on that fairway.

Vintage Sunderland pieces have genuine provenance! Outerwear in classic golfing colour ways; from navy, forest green to cream and tan - with the kind of cut that feels right the moment you put it on. Practical enough to have been worn in genuine competition, beautiful enough to deserve another decade of use!

At Rules of Golf, each Sunderland piece is individually listed with measurements and key details. These are functional heirlooms.
